This E36 328 sport was brought to us by bmwe36shop.co.uk, who had purchased it for restoration & Resale. It had been sat in a dry shed for 5 years and required full re commissioning, including but not limited too, suspension, brake lines and hoses, servicing, tyres, wheel refurbishment, full diagnostic checks and a full geo setup.
The finished car flew though its MOT with No advisories, It was then test driven for 50 miles to ensure it was fully fit for resale, Being a proper sport with the Bilstein Avus package it handles superb and feels great on the road, with plenty of power and great brakes due to the upgraded 330i setup fitted, A real drivers car. The car was then advertised on Ebay & sold shortly after being listed.

BMW 328 Tourer M3 replica
Shell came to us having covered over 200k but had had a full professional respray inside and out in M3 Estoril blue some years back, it was very very clean on the body but starting to show its age on the floor pan, so we stripped it to a a bare shell, cleaned up and treated any surface corrosion, epoxy primed any bare areas then painted the floor pan in Raptor Bed liner tintable in Estoril Blue.
We had a 328 convertible in with low miles on that had sadly come to the end of its life due to the hood leaking and the interior getting wrecked plus its floor pan rotted out, but it had a great condition running gear on, so we used its running gear having only done 73000 miles to re furbish for this tourer, starting with good steel components is far better than trying to work with older more corroded stuff, and as we only wanted the bare steel components and its engine and associated running gear it was a great start.
So we set about completely refurbing the axles, removal of all bushes and components and then taking the parts back to bare steel in our media blaster, followed by epoxy primer and re painting. next we fitted all new OEM spec bushes, bearings, brake components, back plates, sensors, hoses, pipes, cables, ball joints etc etc,
We have also fitted a low millage M3 3.0 LSD, New Brembo discs, pads and calliper’s. new brake spring clips and 4 new abs sensors, new handbrake cables and hangers.
The 328 engine and box with prop were all given much love , including new water hoses x 9 new thermostat and housing new water pump, new belts and tensioner / guide rollers, new rocker gasket and oil filter housing gasket, new plugs, oil and filter, new idle valve pipe, new intake boot. The tourer now has New Bilstein B6 shocks with new Bilstein top mounts, new BMW spring rubbers, Eibach pro springs, genuine M3 3.0 wishbones completely refurbished with new solid HD inner and outer ball joints, new M3 solid rubber offset lollipop bushes, new engine and box mounts, the prop again completely refurbished and having new centre bearing and rubber doughnut fitted.
The car has the Factory 328 cat and backbox again having only covered 73k were in very good but have been cleaned and had all new gaskets and hangers fitted, we fitted new brake lines and fuel lines to the shell. New handbrake cables and all handbrake parts, inc cable hangers, fuel filter, fixtures and fittings, nuts and bolts etc etc

The car now has the speedo / clocks fitted from the donor car showing 73000 miles, so will never ring true on a mot history millage search but we have nothing to hide, we have over 100 photos of the build and a huge file of bills to prove what's been fitted. The shell has done approx. 220k yes, nothing for a well looked after E36!, but has been freshly built with a new running gear and a 73k engine, box prop and exhaust that have also all been though, having numerous new parts fitted to, to ensure future reliability
This has been a real labour of love with around 200 Hours going into it but the results speak for them selves, a very unique stunning car, probably the only one like it in the UK and we only know of one other that was built in Germany and has since been sold and exported to a customer in the USA, We have been building E36 race cars for some years so have put parts into this car that make it the ultimate everyday road driving machine, and in our opinion how they should have left the factory 25 years ago!
